Join us for the documentary premiere of Sa Amin (Our Place), a new documentary film about the Filipino community in South of Market, Co-Directed by Dyan Ruiz and Nix Guirre and Produced by [people. power. media]. The Executive Producer is SF Urban Film Fest. Enjoy a festive evening outdoors Kapwa Gardens including a live performance by Katrina Liwanag, a panel discussion with the filmmakers and stars of the documentary, and plenty of Filipino food and drink. Kapwa Gardens is outdoors and can get windy, so please dress accordingly!

Sa Amin is about Filipino community activists and multigenerational families in San Francisco’s South of Market claim a right to the city as they battle displacement caused by urban renewal, real estate speculation and tech booms, and in doing so sustain the cultural heart of the Filipino-American community.

Food and drink for sale 5-6 pm. The program starts promptly at 6 pm.
