Promoting our event is the key to our collective success, as our combined social networks is a force to be reckoned with. To support our vendors, we’ve created this kit of images and copy for you to use and tweak as you see fit to help get the word out!

ABOUT THE EVENT

Celebrate the summer sunshine at Summer Jamz, a free outdoor party series from 12p-6p for the whole family. For our inaugural season, we’re teaming up with different creative collectives and organizations to give each event a unique flavor and sound. Expect live bands, DJ’s, comedians, spoken word to raise the vibrations and a bring folx from all walks of life together under the sun.

Summer Jamz is also an event to support your local SOMA businesses and emerging entrepreneurs. You’ll have the opportunity to eat, drink, and shop the diversity that SOMA Pilipinas has to offer. Summer Jamz is made possible by a generous grant from the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development and Union Bank.

Tickets to attend Summer Jamz is FREE for the general public however we are accepting sliding scale donations.

Best Practices

Here are some recommendations to assist with your social media promotion. As always, you know your audience best! So, feel free to take what you need and adjust as you see fit.

- Contextualize: When you first announce the event, make sure to provide key information in your advertising outreach:
  - about the event
  - date, time, location (including address)
  - ticket price and link
  - about your offerings
  … which we have provided on this page for you!
- Change it up: When posting multiple times, don’t feel like you need to say the same thing each time!
  - Tip: Consider writing about what makes you excited about the event, what attendees can expect from your participation, potential perks and benefits of attending, etc.
- Call to action: In each caption, specify clearly what action you want your audience to take as a result of seeing this post. Whether its to: save the date, buy tickets now, support your business, bring a friend, or share this post, for example.
- Timing: If possible, aim to start posting about the event 2+ weeks in advance to give your audience ample time to purchase tickets, spread the word, and schedule accordingly.
  - Note: While this event is free and open to the public, some events are subject to ticket purchase with limited quantities.
- Repetition: Not everyone will see each post, so broadcasting over time is key! This will vary per audience and platform, but we recommend posting every 2-3 days, being cautious as to not cause spam.
  - Tip: As the event day nears, consider increasing this frequency.
- Reminders: On a similar note, as the event approaches, remind your audience by emphasizing key action items or deadlines.
  - Tip: Instead of creating new feed posts, utilize Instagram and Facebook stories by resharing your previous posts and using the “countdown” sticker, linking the event page for ticket purchase, and tagging us/other vendors to continue the momentum.
- We’ll support you! Kapwa Gardens is happy to boost your visibility on our platforms.
  - Tip: Follow and tag us at @kapwagardens on your stories and posts, and use the hashtag #SummerJamz, so we can feature you on our story.
- We’ll support each other! Don’t be afraid to amplify support for other vendors too. We’re all in this together, and everyone can benefit when we reciprocate our efforts!
  - Tip: Follow and tag other vendors’ social media, repost their posts, or simply like and comment on their posts. (Profiles linked above).
