Join Eric Solano’s Pangalay class on May 22 from 11:30am-3:30pm. Class is offered virtually and in-person at Kapwa Gardens.

Eric Solano has been a Philippine dance practitioner since 1993. He founded Parangal Dance Company in 2008 and continues his work through regular immersion with over 30 Indigenous Communities in the Philippines since 2005 to present. His work has been performed at San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, Carnegie Hall NY, The White House and international Festivals in Las Vegas, North Carolina, Hawaii, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Colombia, Japan, Greece including virtual festivals in Ecuador and Romania. Eric has produced five home show productions for Parangal since its inception including seven world dance premieres. He has mentored and restaged Philippine folk dances for Philippine Culture Night (PCN) shows in greater Bay Area Universities such as University of San Francisco and San Francisco State University for 25 years including Eric's aspiration for Parangal is to become one of leading organizations in advancing Philippine culture in mainstream America and beyond, preserving and promoting Philippine culture and arts. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at University of San Francisco's Philippine Dance and Culture class.
